Winsford United Manager Chris Willcock has made two more important signings, with Mike Brandon and Steve Jardine (pictured bove) adding to what is becoming an impressive list of players for the coming season.

Both players were with the Blues last season, Brandon for the whole campaign and Jardine for the last dozen or so matches, when his steadying influence at the centre of defence was instrumental in keeping the Cheshire club away from the relegation places.

Willcock said: "Brandon played all over the place last season but I intend reverting him back to the days when he was such a prolific goalscorer, and he will be leading the line along with Stuart Wellstead.  Jardine will once again be at the centre of defence and I am expecting great things from him".

The manager is promising more signings to come, and pre-season training will begin this week when the other players from last season will be able to state their claim on a shirt.  Willcock added: "I am only interested in players who are fully committed to the cause and are willing to give 100% for the team".

All the players who have signed so far have been approached by other clubs, but once Willcock had spoken to them about his plans for the club, they had no hesitation in signing.
