Rossendale United have received an unexpected injection of revenue as they prepare for their return to action in the Vodkat League.
After months of wrangling over what they believed were excessive rates charges, the club has been successful in obtaining a rebate, as Chairman Steve Hobson explained.
"We were being crippled by high rates demands and were getting nowhere with call after call to the council, elected members, MP, and every man and his dog.
"In desperation we turned to the professionals and engaged the services of storeys:ssp to fight our corner on a no win no fee basis. To our surprise and delight, storeys:ssp 'came up trumps', with us getting our rateable value reduced and a rebate running into four figures.
"I felt this is news worth sharing with other club officials, as perhaps other clubs can benefit too. If anyone wants to discuss this in more detail with me, feel free to PM me via our club website at http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rossendaleunitedfc/".
