Stolen Shirt Returns To Colls

Back in March, we reported that a break in at Atherton Collieries' Alder House ground had led to a signed Bolton Wanderers shirt worn by Nicolas Anelka being stolen.

Amazingly, the shirt has been mysteriously returned to the club, after an apparent change of heart from the culprits involved.

Colls Secretary Emil Anderson told the Bolton News:  "One of the lads turned up at the club earlier this week and it was on the steps.  We were shocked, there was no explanation - ot was just sitting there.

"We were really upset when it was stolen and put appeals in the newspapers and on television news, but we heard nothing.

"We are made up it has been returned, and would love to thank whoever brought it back".
