Despite the disappointment of relegation last season, Abbey Hey have remained upbeat during the close season as they prepare for a new start, both on and off the pitch, in the Vodkat League Division One.

One of the many positive changes that have been made at the club in the past few months has been the formation of an 'events' committee. The committee aim is to to maximise the clubs facilities to their full potential, in order to raise funds for the team and for charities.

As a result, Abbey Hey are pleased to announce their first event - A Night at the Races - in the clubhouse this Saturday (17th) starting at 7.30 pm. All are welcome, just pick a horse from the runners in the programme (possibly a name you like or your favourite number), watch the race and if you're first past the post, collect your winning prize money.

Free parking is available within the stadium and the clubhouse bar will be open, selling a range of draught and bottled beers, soft drinks, tea/coffee and food.
